Circle Of Concern Breaking Ground For
New Center On Sunday, August 24
After years of dreaming and months of planning, Circle Of Concern will break ground for its new, larger center. The Ground Breaking ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2008. The new center will be built on land adjacent to Circle’s current building at 112 St. Louis Avenue in Valley Park.
All friends of Circle are encouraged to attend this event. Light refreshments will be served. A tent will protect visitors from the sun or rain.
The new building will be more than twice the size of Circle Of Concern’s current center. The new building will feature an expanded food pantry (including large walk in coolers and freezers), space for seasonal programs, plus more interview rooms and offices. It will allow Circle to serve the growing number of area residents seeking help. In 2000 Circle Of Concern’s pantry helped feed 5,442 people. This year Circle expects to help 15,000 people. By 2015 Circle predicts that 20,000 people per year will receive food from the center.
Circle Of Concern has launched the Today & Tomorrow Campaign to raise money for the new center. All funds received by the campaign will be used to pay for the new center, parking lots and related capital items. Donations should be sent to:
